Join us for a memorable day of ski touring. Our local mountain range is home to excellent skiing. Deep snow, steep trees and open alpine bowls are all within a short ride down a snowmobile road. Our ski tours include motorized transportation through the backcountry, saving you hours of skinning time, and guaranteeing more downhill laps.

We are expert skiers and avalanche professionals who work and play in the Three Sisters mountains year-round. We know where to find the best snow and where the secret stashes are hiding. Don’t worry – you won’t even be blindfolded on the ride in!

Ski touring can be scheduled any day of the week, and you can always book multiple days to explore more of the Cascades. This program is geared towards folks who want to ski the best snow and get as much vertical descent as possible. They usually sign up already having some backcountry skiing or splitboarding experience. Those looking for instruction should consider a backcountry skiing clinic.

We run this program in and around Central Oregon in the winter.

Know Before You Go

Prerequisites

No prior backcountry skiing/riding experience is required. We can teach you all the skills you’ll need: skinning, transitioning and group communication.

Prior downhill skiing experience is a must. Off-piste experience is recommended. Untracked snow is one of the great joys of the backcountry – but skiing ungroomed terrain requires technique and experience. Consider getting off the groomed trails, or taking a lesson at your local resort before exploring backcountry skiing and riding.
