Antarctica powder turns back to the boat on the Southern ocean

Ski Antarctica!

Join us for a lifetime experience, skiing in Antartica. This trip, offered in partnership with Ice Axe Expeditions, is THE way to see and ski Antarctica. AMGA Certified Ski Guide Aaron Hartz and IFMGA/AMGA Mountain Guide Pete Keane co-lead this adventure on both the sea and the slopes. The unique geology of Antarctica allows us to ski incredible terrain and access massive glaciers and peaks from the ocean. With a cruise ship as our floating ski lodge, we’ll see a variety of sights, as we experience the remote and varied skiing that Antarctica has to offer visitors.

This is a unique program that we’re offering for the first time this November of 2017. Pete Keane is the veteran of dozens of ski traverses in the European Alps, and is excited to offer this chance to ski the White Continent’s untamed peaks with the brand of fun and laughs that he is known for in the huts of the Alps.

Your group will journey deep into the rugged landscape of one of earth’s last frontiers while enjoying the convenience and comfort of the Sea Adventurer expedition ship. Sail past Cape Horn, across the Drake Passage and along the Antarctic Peninsula and join an exclusive group of intrepid travelers inspired by the legacy of Antarctic discovery. Our partnership with Ice Axe Expeditions, veterans of Antarctica adventure cruises, ensures that your logistics will run smoothly and that you can relax and enjoy your experience. The comforts of the ship mean that you’ll be able to rest on your days off of skiing and come back to the slopes feeling fresh.

Along the way, you’ll have the chance to see other sights on your journey. You can choose from several activities on rest days, including touring the coastline, viewing wildlife and experiencing the austere beauty of the landscape. We can’t wait for you to join us on this adventure. Give the office call for specific details about the program and a pricing quote.
